Agreeing to these terms
Sprout (lilsprout.app) is provided by Saw Tech Solutions. By using Sprout you agree to these terms. Sprout is meant to be set up by a parent, guardian or teacher, who agrees to these terms on behalf of the children who play.
Using Sprout
Sprout is free for personal, family and classroom use. Please don't copy, sell, re-host or reuse Sprout's code, voice recordings, pictures or stories, or present Sprout as your own, without our written permission. Don't try to disrupt the service or misuse the daily usage report.
Grown-up supervision
Sprout is designed to be safe for young children, but grown-ups are responsible for how and how long their children use any device. Use the play-time limit in Grown-ups if it helps.
Your child's content
Drawings, pictures and other things your child makes in Sprout belong to you and stay on your device. We don't receive them. Saved data lives in your browser, so clearing the browser's data or losing the device can erase it. Use Backup in Grown-ups to keep a copy.
Our content
Sprout's design, code, voice recordings, stories and artwork belong to Saw Tech Solutions or are used under licence. Some 3D models come from Kenney (kenney.nl) under the CC0 public-domain dedication, and Sprout's fonts, Andika and Grandstander, are used under the SIL Open Font License. Built-in songs are public-domain melodies or our own.
Changes and availability
We may add, change or remove activities, and we may update these terms. We will post changes here with a new effective date. We try to keep Sprout running and available offline, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
No warranty
Sprout is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Sprout supports learning through play, but it is not a substitute for a teacher, therapist or medical professional, and we don't guarantee any particular learning result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Saw Tech Solutions is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Sprout. Because Sprout is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US$100, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what information Sprout handles. In short: names and work stay on your device.
