Clear space
Keep a space around the logo at least half the height of the mark. Nothing else goes inside it.

Colour
Crayon-box brights on a soft sky. The sky and ink carry most screens; the brights mark the four sections of the home screen and the buttons. Each section always keeps its colour.

To the child
Speak to them directly, one idea per sentence, with their name when we know it. Praise the effort.
To grown-ups
Plain, calm and honest. Say what Sprout does and doesn't do. Write "they" or the child's name, not "she" or "he".

Art style
Soft, glossy 3D toys with rounded edges, lit from the top left, on a transparent background. Friendly, chunky, nothing scary or sharp. Seasonal backdrops are painted skies with decorations at the edges and calm space in the middle.
